Counselling Services

If you are feeling overwhelmed or facing challenges such as managing your studies or adapting to a new environment, the Student Wellness Centre provides confidential guidance from qualified counsellors. You can book an appointment online and meet with a professional who will support you in a safe and private setting.

Peer Support

At SIM, you are never alone. Our Peer Mentors are senior students dedicated to fostering a culture of care and connection on campus. Trained in Peer Helping Skills and Social & Emotional Awareness, they are equipped to provide support, guidance, and a listening ear to fellow SIM GE students.

Based at the Student Wellness Centre, Peer Mentors are always ready to reach out to students who may be facing challenges or going through a difficult time. They offer a safe and approachable space for those who feel more comfortable seeking support from peers rather than a counsellor.

Student Accessibility

At SIM Global Education, we are committed to providing an inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with disabilities. We respect diverse cultural perspectives on disability and adapt our language and support to individual preferences whenever possible.

As an international student, you may find that support systems differ from those in your home country. At SIM, we partner with service providers to help reduce barriers in both academic and campus life. Access arrangements may vary depending on your programme’s university, so we encourage you to contact our Student Development team early to explore the accessibility services available to you.

Wellness Resources

To help you stay balanced, SIM offers a library of wellness resources covering physical, emotional, social, and mental wellbeing. Each year, students can also join us as Wellness Advocates to promote a healthier campus culture through wellness initiatives and programmes.

“The Myanmar Community at SIM (MySIM) is one of the international student clubs at SIM especially for the Myanmar students community. The objective of MYSIM is to create a home away from home for Burmese students studying at SIM and to spread awareness of our culture with international students. Whether it’s participating in events, organizing events, or even taking on leadership roles, the energy and passion our people is unbelievable. It’s this enthusiasm that not only makes our community vibrant and dynamic but also fosters a culture of active engagement and growth.” (2024)

“One of my biggest learnings as a student leader in InSIM (Indonesians in SIM) was understanding the importance of adaptability and team dynamics. Leading large-scale events taught me that things rarely go exactly as planned, but with the right mindset and a strong, supportive team, we can overcome any challenge. My greatest achievement was leading and executing impactful events that brought the Indonesian community closer together, creating a sense of home and belonging for many.” (2025)
